Apartheid had sweet fuck all to do with the industrialization of South Africa. South Africa had been well industrialised by the British before the Afrikaner Nationalists came to power. The same Afrikaner Nationalists who pushed for and promoted affirmative action* despite the damage it did to industry.

Bullshit. The title is “A case against some Christian schools”, the OP specifically said it was about schools using the Accelerated Christian Education(ACE) curriculum, and you’ve been told more than once in this thread that it is about the ACE curriculum.
It’s a misleading title. It would be like me posting about the Ohio State scandal and writing a title called ‘A case against some Public Education.’ when the title should really be ‘A Case against Ohio State’ The title is deliberately misleading since a true title of ‘A case against ACE’ would likely not lead to clicks.
You think that only one Christian School uses the ACE curriculum? The op is pretty clearly against the Christian schools who do, and that’s “some.”

The industrialization of South Africa is trivia to Americans. Who cares if people know it or don’t? It is much more important that schools are safe, caring places that are responsive to the parent’s wants and the child’s needs. If schools provide those things it doesn’t matter if the curriculum has wrong details about trivia.
Did you go to the links provided and, if so, is this one item the only problem you have with the ACE curriculum?
Does this example on how the ACE curriculum works look like a way you would want your child to learn?
Who cares about the accuracy of the history taught to children?
History only matters when it is about Americans. You can make up whatever you want about all of those worthless furriners.
But it does. Because if the curriculum says “South Africa worked in spite of the niggers, because white man was in charge” or “South Africa worked because capitalism there was free of environmental regulations to hobble it” or “South Africa became prosperous because they didn’t let gays fuck” or whatever other horrendous example you can think of, that’s what the kid takes away from this. And that’s why the writers of the curriculum put it in in the first place - not for the child to learn anything about South Africa per se because who gives a shit, but to internalize some sort of useful truthiness to apply home. If at all possible, devoid of any context - that’s why you hear gun nuts bring up Switzerland all the time because “they’ve all got guns there and no massacres so there !”, neverminding the context of those guns or what the average Swiss is like (which is to say, about as motivated as a dead oyster and about as fast, too :p).
The important thing to keep in mind is that textbook space and classroom time are both very, very finite. Student attention even moreso. Any teacher can tell you this. So everything that goes into a textbook is very, very carefully studied and focus group’d and it’s there for a reason. And every minute a teacher spends on some part of their lesson plan is spent there for a reason that the teacher (or their meddling overseers) deemed was more important than that other thing they could have put in the lesson or the teacher is a hack who hasn’t prepared shit and is winging it, not that this ever happened to me you understand I just heard stories quite obviously.
My point is : if they put lies in your kid’s textbook, it a priori fucking matters.
