I can see this! Robertson would think “This chick seriously needs to get laid,” but her constant bitching would keep him from getting it up. Meanwhile Dworkin would make it her holy mission to educate the damned fascist, while secretly being crushed that Pat didn’t find her attractive. Both would sleep on tearstained pillows.
Hmmm. So the sociopolitical spectrum is a circle. If you and I go far enough to the right and left, we’ll meet on the other side.
If I thought that was original, I’d give the OP’er a standing ovation.
Smells a bit like a chain email product, however. In which case the OP’er deserves admonition for not labeling it as non-original product.
My own observations about the inconsistency of conservatives and liberals:
-
Conservatives want freedom and the power of the individual to rule. But then some (the ones I disagree with) want to know what people are doing in their houses and bedrooms and legislate it.
-
Liberals decry the above, but have no problems whatsoever spending other people’s money for their crusade du jour. Nor about favoring one perceived “lesser” group against another “powerful” group. Very divisive and anti-American.
It is entirely original. I await your ovation. Also your apology.

Actually, I was thinking of the old line: politics makes strange bedfellows…
IRL, however, Pat wouldn’t go near a bed with Andrea in it 'til she disavowed her feminist, lesbian, Wiccan, anti-Christian rethoric. Which is just as well, as Ms Dworkin would be there, waiting, concealing some large, sharp implement that, after she’s finished, would put Lorraine Bobbit and Lizzy Borden to shame.
Hrm… maybe that’s not such a bad idea…
Ah, yes! And thus we arrive at the only true religion…libertarianism, i.e., the belief in the divine infallibility of the “free market”! Come all thee heathens and be saved!
Freyr, this is getting truly bizarre.
Where exactly does Pat Robertson say that voting non republican makes you a non christian?
As if I care that he Did say it. He doesn’t choose who is a christian or not.
Could we think of a More weird pairing?

Uh, I never said this or implied it, at least not in this thread. It certainly sounds like something Pat might say, but I didn’t say he said it.

Don’t let Pat here you say that!

How about Jesse Helms in bed with Quentin Crisp? So what if Quentin is dead, so is Jesse, at least from the neck up.
Oh sorry, ITR champion said it.
A weird pairing? Strom Thurmond and Jennifer Aniston.
ewwwwwwww
