Some interesting insights about the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey here, including some interesting ideas about the use of “tools” as a theme to the movie, which I hadn’t considered before. Pretty average Flash animation, but still worth checking out.

They make some interesting points, but there is much more going on here than they have room for. It’s interesting, for instance, that the invention of a weapon (not just a tool) started humanity, and the human who goes to the next stage is named Bowman.
