I stand by my resolve on the general issue. For every one of the thousands of pop stars, TV shows, and movies, there’s gonna be some folks who got something out of them. They couldn’t have been popular, otherwise. There’s a difference between liking something for personal reasons, and being uncritical about its artistic worth, tho.

Interesting. I don’t go into IMHO or MPSIMS nearly as much as GD, GQ and The Pit, but I did click on the thread Hama linked to.
I remember just a couple of months or so ago when the poster X had amassed 1000 posts in about three days (OK exaggeration - but it was very quick) and faced a bit of controversy for it.
I notice she’s now well over the 2000 mark. Did I miss much? Or was the second ton of about the same calibre as the first?
