Maybe Abercrombie and Fitch would pay us to shut it down, to avoid that image.
I think some marketing folks at A&F really earned their pay this time. When was the last time you saw an A&F marketing campaign make headline news in the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and a host of others?
Given that A&F caters to kiddie-porn types*, racists and sexists, I’m thinking even the losers of Jersey Shore would be several steps up the demographic ladder for A&F
*push-up bras and teeny thongs for 5 year olds that say “Eye candy” on them? Really ?
Well, when I was going to school, A&F was what all the rich kids wore. I had no idea they were trashy now, so the news didn’t surprise me at all. What did was finding out that they actually have shirts that take advantage of the fact The Situation wears their stuff.
The quality of the clothes is minimal, and the price A&F charges is astronomical. I was on contract to do tech support for their stores and actually had a card for an employee discount. I never ended up using it, because even paying wholesale for their stuff, I would look at it and think “there’s no way this is worth .5-pricetag.”
Also, since their sizing for women stops at either 8 or 10, I’d totally out of luck for myself.
Heeeeeyyyyyy, maybe I should but some of their stuff, squeeze my size 18/20 bod into it and parade around like that. Maybe then, they’d offer me some money not to wear their stuff.
Oh, wait. No, it would never work. That pesky Human Dignity of mine just vetoed the idea.
Have you learned nothing from reality TV? Fuck human dignity, get money.
