I’ve been wanting to see this for a long time. Andy Griffith, Patricia Neal, Walter Matthau.
Great, great movie. Hasn’t dated a bit.
It is indeed great, I was hooked from the beginning. And what a wonderful cast! Never in a million years would I have imagined Andy Griffith could play such a role so convincingly.
I kept waiting for pres 45 to have a AFITC moment, when people would open their eyes. I won’t spoil it if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
Maybe it just needs to get out more, or subscribe to an app or two.
This movie has some great scenes but doesn’t quite hold together IMO. Patricia Neal disappears for an extended period without explanation. Breaks the rule of show don’t tell. Didn’t apply to Trump the way people said it would, of course Trump built a different path anyways.
A great movie, but overly optimistic. Trying not to spoil it, but we now know if the live mike at the end happened in real life, the public wouldn’t care a bit.
All his enablers would leap to their mikes and be like, “what he meant to say was…”, and all ruffled feathers would be smoothed.
