Here’s the deal – my wife, kittenlm, has a birthday coming up early next month. Now, I enjoy springing silly, unexpected birthday surprises on her, and this year I’m going to need your help. If you would, I have a small favor to ask of you:
Take a picture of yourself, holding any sort of sign reading “Happy Birthday Linda” (or some derivation thereof), and e-mail it to me.
That’s it. As big or small as you like, whatever else you want in the pic, as Photshopped or original as you choose. I’m just trying to get together as many pics giving birthday greetings as possible to put up on our family site as a surprise for her.
If you’d like to play along, just e-mail the pic to “paul at sirblah dot com”, and receive back tons of thanks.
Oh, and if your wondering about posting this request here when kittenlm is a member, well, my fingers are crossed. Her time spent here is sporadic. She’ll read the boards every day for two months, and then not log on for three. She’s very busy with work right now, so I think this’ll go off just fine. Hopefully, she’ll not notice this until after April 3rd. Otherwise…errrr…love you, Sweetheart!
Thanks much to those who have e-mailed me. To publically answer the most common question, her birthday is April 3rd, so if you’d like to contribute, I’d appreciate the pics by April 1st. Plenty of time to break out the digicam!
Thanks for all the submissions sent in so far, folks! Some very clever ones in the mix…
Incidentally, you’ve distinguished yourself, Ethilrist. For a group having as big of a camwhore reputation as Dopers do, it’s not really showing itself here. You’re the only one to actually show your face in your pic.
Nonono, you’ve got it right…the pic was exactly as requested. There are no “wrong” pics here*****, I was just commenting on the fact that you were first person to show their face in the pic. All the others photoshopped other pics, hid their faces, etc.
No worries…they’re all good, and all highly appreciated.
*****“Happy Birthday Linda!” goatse pics would be considered “wrong”. Oh so very, very wrong…
