Before any mods get any ideas, I will remind you that the stuff is not yet (if it ever will be) banned.
It is very hard to search for this on the Internet, for one thing I do not trust many vendors, and for another a search for ephedra will get you many bad results (mostly to things that are “Ephedra free!”).
So can anyone recommend any good products that contain, or are just, ephedra and a good place on the net to buy them?
PS, please take any anti-ephedra posts elsewhere.
The ban on ephedra products IS scheduled to go into effect shortly. While it may be challenged in court, I would expect the popularity to drop regardless which will make it very hard to find.
However, growing your own ephedra would apparently still be allowed (you just can not turn it into a dietary supplement and sell it, if I understand correctly). It’s a relatively hardy plant, should be no more difficult to grow and harvest than, say, cooking herbs.
I must caution you, however, that home-grown herbal products vary widely in potency. Also, ephedra most certainly can harm some people - if you have any form of cardiac problem or high blood pressure I would strongly suggest you not take this. It can hurt you.
The ban on the sale of Ephedra comes into effect on February 29th 2004. Responsible manufacturers have stopped using ephedra.
Seems to me that trying to circumvent a regulation/law that’s going to be effective is not something we want to be doing. I think there’s also strong risks for “buy fast, before it’s illegal” to lead to scams.
Hence, I’m closing this one.
