A Good Place To Buy Vitamins Online

Any recommendations? I’ve Googled around and found some really cheap sites, but if it’s that cheap it makes me wonder what I’m getting Hmmmm?

So any recommendations as to where I can go? And have you been satisfied with the delivery as well as the quality?

Thanks

I’ve been getting all my supplements from Puritan’s Pride, since the late 70s. Especially when they have their “buy 2, get 3 free” sale. And their delivery is fast, too.

www.swansonvitamins.com is pretty good.

I have used vitacost.com for the past several years. The prices are excellent, the deliveries have always been on time, and the packing is meticulous. Most of the items I buy are packaged in glass bottles. They arrive wrapped in bubble wrap and well packed; I have never found one broken.

+1 on Vitacost. Ordered the SO’s protein powder, some shampoo and some vitamins for myself, and it shipped the next day, arrived 2 days later. Cheapest I’d found for what we wanted, $5 (I think?) flat shipping. They send you a catalog with most of their products too, which I never found useful but you should sign up for if you’d like that, regardless of whether or not you purchase from them.

+1 on using Puritan! They are the manufacturer and have passed independent testing on quality and “as labeled” contents. Vitamins and supplements are notoriously lacking in packaging/manufacturing with fillers and not containing what the label says. Not so with Puritan. I buy several of their supplements for the animal shelter I work for simply because they have the best pricing and their glucosamine is the only one out there I’m confident using in place of the medicinally-labled, FDA controlled Cosequin. Significant savings!

I originally started using Puritan for work, but have been buying their vitamins and supplements for myself for about 4 years now too.

Netrition.com - good prices plus fast and cheap delivery.

Amazon.

Low cost, quick service, Amazon guarantee, & the exact same damn thing you are buying already.

Moved Cafe Society --> IMHO.

I’ve used Puritan’s Pride for a hundred years or so. GREAT service, quality goods, reasonable prices.

I’ve also used iHerb.com. The nice thing about iHerb is that the cookies remember your previous order, so if you are getting the same stuff regularly, just sign in, and you are ready to go!

+1 on Puritan’s Pride.

Funny Story: I was ordering some ginger pills for a cruise I was going to take (ginger being a natural remedy for stomach yuckiness in general and sea sickness in particular). My plan was to buy 2 bottles.

I filled out my order, and on the checkout page I saw the “Click Here to Buy Three, Get Four Free” or some such, so I clicked. My price was adjusted and I went to the new checkout screen. “Click Here to Buy Four, Get Five Free.” So I took the bait, and adjusted my price, etc. Then I saw the next ad…

I wound up with 18 bottles.

It took me two years until the last ginger pill was gone (I have a lot of stomach upset).

I use these dudes, and they have the best price and selection.

HeyHomie points out one of the big problems with Puritan’s Pride- the uy Three, Get Four Free deals. Sometimes you can use a dozen bottles of a supplement, but more often - not.

I use Life Extension Foundation. You have to be a member to get the good prices, but they give you more than the price of membership in discounts every year when you renew.

Added bonus was when I found out they’re based in Fort Lauderdale, and have a retail store 20 minutes from my house. So I don’t even have to mail order any more. Granted, that probably won’t help many of you.

Costco. Seriously.

I mostly use iherb. They always include a nice free pen, ruler, tea bag, free sample of a vitamin, or some other neat little thing as a free gift with your order.

I have an Amazon prime account. And still buy from Puritan’s Pride because their prices are better than Amazon’s. Much much better.
