A good recipe for crock pot potato soup?

Pretty much the title says it all.

My SO and I went to the grocery store, and neither one of us could remember if we had potatoes or not. So we bought a bag, just in case, and it turns out we did have potatoes. Now we have LOTS of them. I work two jobs, and am looking for a way to use all these potatoes, without being too time-intensive.

I love potato soup, but have never made it. Does anyone have a recipe for making it in a crock pot, so I can go work a 10 hour shift, and come home to soup?

1kg potatoes
200 - 250g lean bacon
1 onion
Garlic
300ml light cream
2 tsp vegetable stock powder
2 cups hot milk

Peel and dice the potatoes and onion, chop the bacon up, peel and crush the garlic.

Put all those plus cream and stock powder into slow cooker, either four hours on high or eight hours on low.

Purée, adding milk until the soup reaches the consistency you want.

Easy, nommy. You can add more bacon, or replace the onion with leeks if you prefer.
