WRT the cellulose content of the feces having calories that are essentially meaningless, this leads me to the question of the cellulose content of food that hasn’t yet been eaten. Do the standard methods of calculating the caloric content of food include a technique that allows the calories due to cellulose to be left out of the final assigned value, in kcal.gm?
