Aww, so nice of you!
So… was the hummingbird okay? Passed peacefully thanks to OP, at least?
He hasn’t been back since to sleep at the feeder since - only those two nights. That last night would have been rough for a hummingbird as we had a winter storm warning with lots of snow and cold, high winds. I don’t know if he made it.
I wasn’t going to update because it’s a bit of a sad update but, since you asked.
Tell me somethin’ good, Burpo.
Buck up, Floaty; you may have extended his life two extra days–just long enough for him to get out of Dodge or maybe find an even better place to hole up (although a personal heat lamp [and snacks] is tough to improve on). You affected Nature in a positive way, be proud of y’self!
End of sermon.
It’s much warmer up here now – 45° instead of 16° or 19° – but there have been no hummingbird sightings in four days.
My resident, dominant male made it through the cold, wind and snow and seems to be fine. I’m happy for that, at least.
Oh that’s awesome. Your set up for him is fantastic!
Kitty Forman: Oh, honey. Were your father and I having intercourse? ![]()
(Been binge watching, “That '70s Show,” yet again.)
