…Of the things that the 5 Swissvale and Edgewood patrol cars saw when they pulled into the loading area behind the Edgewood shopping center, where they were responding to a panicked call from a Giant Eagle shopper. <ahem>:

[li] One person on his back on the ground, holding a movie camera and pointing it up at the sky.[/li][li] One man carrying a Red Rider BB Gun, wearing a black leather jacket, black gloves, and sunglasses.[/li][li] One man wearing green cargo shorts, no shirt, sunglasses, and dogtags, carrying an obviously plastic M-16.[/li][li] Three people off to the side, including: One very large man, one very small girl, and one man in a bathrobe.[/li][li] One shopping cart of random junk, including a rope, a gas mask, and a jar of Jiff peanut butter, among others.[/li][/ul]
All together, it was a pretty regular day of filming for my friend’s school project. The whole thing’s a spoof of MacGuyver, which you may remember me mentioning in the “Pooky, the Exploding Bird” thread. This scene was going to be the big fight.
We talked to the police, who were very nice and had a sense of humor, and after 10 minutes of joking, they nicely told us that we had to clear out, since we didn’t have a permit. Ah, well. We had all the footage we needed.
I’m just glad that they didn’t pull up when we were filming the scene where I got hit by the car…
<sigh> It’s gonna be a great movie.
