I view, It is what it is, as a coping mechanism.

There’s so many things in life beyond our control. We can make ourselves miserable and rant until we collapse. Or we can say, it is what it is, and carry on.

Or recite the Serenity Prayer. :wink:

I use both methods to keep my sanity and ***sobriety in this fucked up, pathetic world.

That reminds me of the boss at one of my yesterjobs. I may have told this one before…anyway…he liked to call all employees into the breakroom for pointless meetings. He said “and so on and so forth” so often that I finally took paper and pencil and tried to tally it with the little slash marks. I would actually lose count, that’s how often he said it.
