Pretty cool youtube video of a man with no arms playing guitar with his feet
I discovered this by chance, while discussing with my boyfriend the idea of how people born with no arms can become very skilled at using their feet. Even though I had heard before about people with no arms learning to write or feed themselves with their feet, I was amazed to find this clip.

I have an old friend that was pretty depressed when his right arm was pinched off by a rolling log. Prior to his accident he really enjoyed playing his guitar with friends. His wife got sick of seeing him mope around and made a leather cuff with a pick attached.
Called it thumper and it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. He’d never lost his skill, just his arm. If anything it made him a better picker!
Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
That’s a great guitar. I have the same one. The cutaway is a bit superfluous in his case I think.

There was a band on “The Next Great American Band” who had a lead guitarist who had no arms and played with his feet. He was pretty good.
I think it might have been this guy.
I tried to learn guitar but didn’t get very far with it, so I definitely give props to these guys who learned how to play against the odds. I’m also going to try to remember them the next time I am tempted to feel sorry for myself over something dumb.
