Is vitilligo usually that symmetrical on the face? It doesn’t appear to be symmetrical anywhere else on her body. If it was just blotches on her face, I think it’d be a much different effect.

It’s too bad that she’ll probably be treated as a “novelty” or “fetish” in the modeling world because otherwise people associate her looks as too “weird”. It all depends on how well she can manage to hold on to the path she wants.
Oh, come on. She’s obviously absolutely gorgeous. Interesting skin condition or not, I doubt she’s experiencing a shortage of boys wanting to ride bikes with her. We’re all just jealous.

Well, you can go back in time and tell her middle school self all her bullies are “just jealous” and see how well that works - be sure to mention adults aren’t always any better at keeping their thoughts to themselves. I’m just saying, being compared to a pony or horse isn’t a compliment. Just because she isn’t here to personally see the comments doesn’t make them any better.
I’m not sure why this is a problem. Any woman that departs even slightly from a very strict norm won’t ever have a chance to become a model. That’s about 99.99% of the population. So it’s not like vitiligo is specifically targeted. You might get away with a beauty spot is everything else about you is perfect, but that’s about all (and you will be remembered as the model with a beauty spot above the lip). So vitiligo… Nothing new here.
I think Macca26 is primarily objecting to Chefguy’s “pony” comment, which was gross.
Sorry about that; it was in poor taste. I think Robin Williams was still playing out in my head. On the good side, one bad joke in 28,000 posts isn’t bad odds.
It’s somewhat symmetrical on my face making me appear from a distance as if I was a reverse raccoon. When you can observe it from up close it’s not as symmetrical as you might think. Luckily for me, the Protopic I’ve been prescribed has gone a long way towards helping the skin tone around my eyes go back to normal. It isn’t doing much for my hands though.

People are so open-minded these days. Now we can objectify and evaluate all sorts of bodies!
If someone is a slender white female with no unusual characteristics, of course we can say awful things about her, but everyone else is compliments only.
And the more you say you think a not-conventionally-attractive person is beautiful, the better a person you are. The very best people do not ever think about people and ponies resembling each other, (except horse-faced actresses, of course) let alone voice their thoughts.
