At some point, the differences become purely academic. Especially when 25 meg is the fastest service offered to my neighborhood… :smack:

I ran it at the securities trading firm where I work. I asked a network guy who said they could “burst” up to 1000 Mbps. I’m guessing someone will beat me here before too long.
We’re not an extremely latency sensitive trading firm. I’d be curious to see what the ultra high frequency shops looked like.
What’s the difference between this and good ol’ reliable Ookla Speedtest?
I’ve always used Ookla - I’m going to compare the two now.
Edit:
Fast Speed: 26 Mbps (downlink only)
Ookla Speedtest speed:
Latency 12ms
Downlink 33.61Mbps
Uplink 2.02Mbps
Yes, the uplink is quite poor compared to the downlink, but that’s what you get with Virgin Media (UK ISP)!
No one’s going to notice the difference between 620Mbps and 680Mbps, they are both amazingly fast.
How the hell do you even get such good speeds?! The only place I’ve ever known to get anywhere near that, is on some of the university computers that I use, on a Wired LAN connection!
Pretty much the same- 21 mbps on Fast, 21.59 mbps on Speedtest.
Which is cool, as my service is nominally 18 mbps.
Fast: 3.9 Mbps
Speedtest: 3.95 (download)
