A, o, way to go Ohio (and New Jersey), you're bunch of morons

With all due respect, that’s not true. Unlike most of the opiates/opioids (but similar to cocaine once it’s extracted from coca leaves), heroin is unsuitable for oral use; it is so poorly absorbed by the digestive system that all of its effects (analgesia, euphoria, and sedation), are drastically diminished if a dose is swallowed. This is why one rarely if ever hears of “heroin pills”*, and one of the reasons that this particular narcotic is strictly Schedule 1, unlawful to prescribe under any circumstances.

*When MDMA was at its peak popularity, there was a widespread misapprehension among some users that some Ecstasy pills were adulterated with heroin; however, no such pills were ever confirmed to be found. So-called “smacky e’s” were proven to actually consist of either a great big dose of some kind of benzo, or dextromethorpham, or some other psychoactive synthetic altogether.
