No. It was a one time typo. There was a moderator called manhattan who was referred to as manny. Someone started a sentence with “manny peoples” and it took off from there. Now don’t ask me what I had for lunch yesterday.
Wasn’t it “Manny Peeples”, or am I misremembering?

I kind of feel like people should be able to ask stupid questions. And if you think your question MIGHT be a stupid question, but you’re unsure, starting with…‘I’ve heard some people saying…’, seems perfectly understandable, to me.
We’re really not into banning words or phrases here. Especially ones that are simply annoying/disingenuous.
Hateful words and phrases used in hateful ways will be moderated for a given situation, but we don’t have a banned word list and I don’t believe we will.
