From Cloning teams cross pig and human DNA at The Sunday Times ’ site:
SCIENTISTS have successfully produced an embryonic pig-human hybrid. Human DNA was inserted into pig cells which became tiny embryos, write Jonathan Leake and Nick Fielding.
.
.
.
Nobody knows whether the hybrid embryos could have become living beings. They would be much more human than pig because about 97% of DNA is in the nucleus, which was human. There would, however, be some effect from the 3% of DNA from the pig.
I don’t have enough of an understanding of the things involved to really say anything about this. But we do have some folks with a knowledge of biology here. What sort of creature might come of this, or could one?
You’re familiar with Boss Hog aren’t you.
And back in the real world. I haven’t a clue.
