29, uncut.

No children, yet.

Most definitely NOT, unless they have some rare medical condition that requires it.
- 20, yes

- No opinion - most likely will depend on the wife’s attitudes

28 and cut.
-
I have no children.
-
If I ever have a son, I’ll probably go for circumcision, but will check with the wife first.
- 28, uncircumcised(European).
- No sons only a daughter (who is of course not cut).
- If I had a son he would not be cut.
/Coil
- 20, circumsized
- No kids
- When I have a boy he will not be circumsized.
1/ 30. Not.
2/ None.
3/ No.
There are absolutely no credible medical reasons whatsoever for circumcision. Yes, a very small percentage of men get medical conditions that may not have occured if they were circumcised, but you can equally say that leg amputees never get athlete’s foot. That is not a reason to cut people’s legs off, especially at an age where they’re not in a position to decide for themselves.
Men are supposed to have foreskins. And yes, it is a big deal. Only a woman or men who were circumcised at birth could think otherwise. You really can’t comment until you’ve tried one yourself.
- 35, yes
- no kids
- probably, because it aggravates the anti - circumcision people so much. But if my wife has objections, I’ll defer.
Excuse me, it should be "…here we go again.
1. How old are you? If male, circumcised or not?
33 years old male. Yes, I’m circumcised.
2. If you have any sons, are they circumcised? When were they born?
I have 3 sons, all of whom are circumcised.
3. Do you intend to circumcise any future sons?
If I ever have any more sons, yes… but I don’t plan on having any more kids.
-
My husband is 38, and circumcised.
-
My son is two and is circumcised. I didn’t have any strong feelings, just figured we’d do what was conventional and then was surprised to learn that cicrumcision is no longer all that conventional! That is, many babies born today are not circumcised. Decided to anyway.
-
If we had another son, I dunno. Maybe not. I’m not thrilled with the healing of son #1s circumcision. But maybe. Since we don’t plan on having more kids, I can waffle on this into eternity.
- 23 years old and no I’m not
- no kids
- don’t plan on having kids, but if I did, no I wouldn’t have it done.
-
My husband is 38 and uncircumcised.
-
My son was born in 1998 and is circumcised.
-
Any future sons I might have I would rather not have them be circumcised.
I was against my son’s circumcision, but caved in to hubby wishes in the end. He cited the fact that he himself felt self-conscious growing up and not looking like all the other boys. Okay, whatever.
I’m probably in the minority living in the US and being against circumcision, but I honestly see it as unnecessary body mutilation, with no medical benefits whatsoever. I absolutely hated seeing that awful wound on my otherwise perfect newborn son. Barbaric.
38 years old. Cut.
One child - a daughter. Had she been a girl she would not have been cut.
No more children so the question is moot.
- WASP male, 41, circumsized.
- Son, born in 1988, not circumsized.
- Future sons: Not likely to exist, but not cut.
At the time in question, our HMO would not guarantee that the operation would be done by a surgeon (rather than an intern), and would not name who specifically would do it. Without any preknowledge of who was going to be taking a knife to our son’s privates, there was no way in hell we were going to allow it.
Reminded of an Elaine Boosler line, about what would happen if her dog ever learned to talk:
"You cut off my tail, my ears, my balls??!! If you wanted a smaller dog, why didn’t you buy one?
- Husband is 53 and uncircumsized
- My two sons [14 and 13] are uncircumsized
- No more kids in the future
Basically, our sons were not circumsized because their father is not. Now, with information concluding that the risk of HIV/AIDS virus transmission is lower among circumsized males, I am wondering if we made the right decision.
54, and circumcised.
No sons

1.How old are you? If male, circumcised or not?
24, circumcised
2.If you have any sons, are they circumcised? When were they born?
Don’t have any yet.
3.Do you intend to circumcise any future sons?
Yes. I know this is a pretty bad reason, but it’s a simple one. I don’t want my son to see me and think for some reason that he is deformed. It’s not a question in my wife’s mind either.
- I’m 30. SO (26) is uncircumsized, for reasons his mother doesnt seem to remember.
- N/A
- When we have children we probably will not circumsize them. There are a couple reasons, but the one that hasnt been mentioned yet is that according to a prominent pediatrician I know, a good rule of thumb is “like father,
like son.” Certainly not necessary, but generally, it’s always safe to have the young boy look like his father, so that he doesnt think he’s different or unusual or something.

22, cut

son, 2 years old, also cut

Future sons will most definitely be cut as well
