I’ll be 28 in a month.
I’m 26. I don’t think we had cable until 1989. I realise many of these are older than I am, but my sister and I weren’t really allowed to watch anything but what my parents liked.
-
[Old man in a thick southern accent]Oh Belvedere! Come heah boy!

I’m 23 and I recognize 1, 3, 5, 9 and 11.
I’ve heard of 3 (“Where’s the beef?!”) but only because I looked it up on YouTube the first time I heard it mentioned a couple of years ago, I know 5 (“Don’t worry, be happy…”) is a song I’ve heard a couple of times but know nothing more about it, and I know 11 is from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off but I have never seen the whole movie. The rest are completely alien to me.
I’m 19.
I’m 30 and the only one I’m really sure of is the Farris Bueller one. I think the kiss my grits is from a TV show waitress can’t remember particulars about show…
28 years old, here. I got:
3, 4, 5, 8, and 11.
4 only because my parents were really into him when I was a kid. I try to block it from my memory…
I know the “shoephone” reference. F2 sounded vaguely familiar but F3 I don’t know.
I’m 40 and I recognized 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 without cheating.
F1 - Get Smart
F2 - No clue
F3 - …the Junction. Petticoat Junction!
S1 - “I’m just a bill, yes I’m only a bill…”
S2 - You’re soaking in it
S3 - Plop, plop, fizz, fizz
I’m 20 years old, and the only ones I recognize are 3, 5, and 11. I’ve heard 8, but I can’t attribute it to anything.
I’m 29 on Monday. A bit obtuse as far as this stuff is usually concerned. Curiously enough, I didn’t get most of them until I read them aloud to myself. When the accent took over, it clicked.
- Yeah, that’s Looney Tunes.
- Liberace.
- Wendy’s. Isn’t Dave Thomas dead or something?
- NFC
- Bobby Whatshisname. Mc something or other.
- NFC
- NFC
- Some valley girl thing, but I cannot remember where it came from.
- NFC
10)NFC
11)This one is still used all the time. Anyone here?
12)Alas, NFC.
NOW you’re speaking my language. These I got instantly.
S1 and S3 are really easy. I know that I am familiar with S2, but I can’t think of what it is for the life of me. A commercial slogan, I think.
I’m 34, and all but 6 were familiar, but I couldn’t place 1, 2 and 12, probably because I was only 3 or 4 at the time when they were popular.
yep, S1, 2 and 3 were easy! Thanks, Southpaw!
And it isn’t a matter of reruns - I haven’t watched much TV since those things first came out. I’m getting c-r-e-a-k-y…
Only 5 and 11.
I never watched much TV as a kid besides Nickelodeon. I thought everything else was bullshit.
I recognize numbers 3, 5, 8, and 11. Going from your answer sheet, I’ve also definitely seen numbers 9 and 12, but all that says is that I don’t remember the running gags from when I was a young kid, more than that I wouldn’t be part of the generation to have seen it.
I’m 27.9.
- Knew all but 6 and 7, and 6 probably would have come to me eventually.
