I like a variety of levels.
Well, this has been enlightening! I’m glad I did this poll.
Even though I voted for dead easy, I guess I really do like to mix them up a bit. I thoroughly detest the opinion ones, though, only because they are so hard to group and score.
You are all very welcome! I like doing the Feuds.
Upon further reflection, I would say there’s one kind of question that I have minor issues with: those that ask for my personal opinion.
For example, I get mildly irked by a question like “what’s your favorite color?” My favorite color is green so that’s the correct answer. But I know that it’s unlikely to be an answer chosen by the most other people. So I’m going to actually answer blue or red because I know that’ll be a more popular answer. Which annoys me because the question I was asked was “what’s your favorite color?” but the question I’m answering is “what’s most people’s favorite color?” I feel like I’m being forced to give an answer I know is wrong.
But as I said, it’s only a small thing.
I agree- I voted for easy, but mixing it up is good. I like to lose in all sorts of ways!
And thank you for doing them!
Throws confetti!
Oh, and speaking of feuds… ![]()
I voted Easy/Fast, but don’t mind Thoughtful/Googling if it’s a topic about which I know anything.
I usually don’t enter Feuds that require knowing any post-1970 American culture! :smack:
I like ones I can win. So far I don’t like any of them.
I don’t mind googling because Feuds about states and countries require it. But I don’t mind.
Our feud isn’t TV’s “Family Feud.” We don’t need to go to the lowest common denominator.
But the questions should be ones that any reasonably well educated person could answer after a few seconds of thought.
The whole idea is to come up with an answer that educated dopers would be likely to come up with. A question like ‘Name a world capital that begins with the letter B’ works because there are numerous well-known capital cities to choose from, and we’re struggling to come up with the one most people would think of. But if the question is ‘Name a world capital that begins with Z,’ well, all of us will Google and we’ll all come up with the same obscure answer. What’s the point?"
There is a point there. Every answer must have 2 or 3 options ,so it is the most popular answer, not the only one.
