Does anyone remember this poem? I’m writing a paper about the brief “stranger looking at people” poetry movement, and I remember reading something with a title like “An Alien sends a Postcard Home From Earth” in the ninth grade, and the teacher kept banging into our heads how important it was to twentieth century poetry. I thought it was kinda corny and cutesy, but I really need to use it for this paper. Does anyone know the real title, or better yet, the poet’s name?
Is this the one you’re looking for? It’s a moderately interesting piece.

Thank you very much–that is exactly the poem I was looking for.
Rather than start a new thread, I’ll just revive this one–does anyone remember a poem about an alien looking at cars and thinking they’re people. It was a very popular piece in middle school lit books?
