A question about nationalization and foreign dominated industry

Ok with our fearless leader threatening tariffs every time he doesn’t get his own way like its 1872 what would happen if say China decides they’d had enough to take over the Chinese branches/factories of every us owned company by army led gunpoint and kicks out every non Chinese personnel

what’s the recourse wed have ? i know some of the south American oil countries and possibly did it in the 70s did with its foreign owned oil companies

such a thing was also touted as a big risk for China in africa also because some regimes were known for doing to on a regular basis

Pretty much anything you’d want to do. Nationalize anything Chinese owned in the US. Heavier tariffs aimed specifically at the companies that were nationalized. Banning imports from those companies entirely. Sanctions on all other exports, and convincing other countries to join the sanctions. Tell the Chinese, “If we can’t have them, no one can!” and cruise missile the shit out of the factories.

Some choices are better than others.
