75 lbs of coins rolled up in 2 hours??? I think it took me roughly that time last time I made coin rolls, and, at most, I had 3-4 lbs of them…
I can’t even imagine how one could end up with so much change, by the way…
You had better hurry.
I live in Las Vegas and my local casino (Green Valley Ranch - the one that featured on American Casino TV series) no longer takes coins. Period.
Seriously. All the machines only take bills, you get your pay out on a slip of paper and return it to a cage for cash out, or you can put it back into a machine. About six months ago they got rid of every single coin counting machine, and there is not a single slot that accepts coins.
You can still play penny machines, nickel machines and quarters…you just have to put in a minimum of a dollar bill in the machine to play. The days of coins in casinos are limited.
Also - I assume your 75 pounds of coins are not a mixture of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters? Even when they used to accept coins, no pennies or dimes were accepted.
Hopefully, Reno will be more resistant to getting rid of coins in the casinos, as it tends to cater more to the blue-hair demographic, but of course, nothing lasts forever.
