Does anyone know which UK official made a comment like this a while ago?
“I am only concerned that the United Kingdom should be on the right side when Europe and the United States goes to war”
Sounds a bit hysterical to me.
If it were actually said (google reveals nothing) it was probably by someone on the radical left or far right of the political spectrum.
I, too, could not come up with any google results. Question: is there any other context to the quote? As is, it is could be read to mean that Europe and the United States will go to war against each other, or that they could be fighting together. Kind of a big difference, wouldn’t you say?
