I doubt I am alone these days in welcoming into my world at least the occasional uplifting, happy story. I came across this wonderful piece on CBC News today.
I won’t be spoiling it too much by saying it stretches from 1939 to today, from Poland to Siberia, India to Canada, and from vilest evil to pure good. And all in a few hundred words.

One life can hold so much trauma and so much that is wonderful. That’s an amazing story of how humans help humans.
Seems like ancient history, but it’s not. She’s still here able to tell her story. Serves as a good reminder of several different things, not the least of which is that there truly are good people in the world.
