I am sure almost everyone knows how his Mom raised him as his father took off. This was such an important thing to him, that I am amazed he would pull this kind of stunt. I hope it is not true, but I suspect it is.
I didn’t know about that. I do my best to ignore this stuff, but when the whole Toronto blonde thing made the headlines last year I figured he was definitely getting some on the side.
Here is a little from Wikipedia.
Alex Rodriguez was born in the Washington Heights section of New York City. When he was four, Rodriguez and his parents moved to their native Dominican Republic. After the family moved to Miami, Florida, three years later, Rodriguez’s father announced his intention to move back north to New Jersey for a short time. He never returned, abandoning Rodriguez and his mother . His favorite baseball players when he was growing up were Keith Hernandez, Dale Murphy, and Cal Ripken. His favorite team growing up was the New York Mets
Again, in interviews on radio, TV, newspapers and even the old ‘Baseball Weekly’ I read time and again how much his father’s leaving him, scarred him. So if he has indeed strayed and if he has indeed barely seen his baby daughter, he is a bigger hypocrite than the standard self-indulgent spoiled sports superstar.

If Alexis is acceptable, then Alexander should be too. They’re both traditionally masculine names. What’s that you say? Alexis is more often encountered as a feminine name these days? Well how do you think that happened? Somebody was the first person to give a girl the man’s name “Alexis.” So, why not “Alexander”? It happens all the time.
These are all originally masculine names, by the way, which have become more commonly used as women’s names:
Adrian
Carol
Christy
Evelyn
Ginger
Jamie
Jules
Julie
Kelly
Laurie
Leslie
Lynn
Randy
Shelly
Shirley
Stacy
Terry

I just figured out what the hell A-Rod meant last night. Sounded like an insult to me.
