A song called "Lately"...HELP!

When I was in 8th grade, I remember on MTV Unplugged once, they featured an R&B group named Jodeci. (This would have been, oh-92, 93?) Anyhoo, they sang performed this gorgeous, slow torch song called “Lately”

I could SWEAR it was an older song, but I cannot think of who did it.

Any help?
