A State of Mind - My film recommendation

And it streams on Netflix. I love streaming documentaries because you can kind of just start and stop them when you want and you don’t have to bother having the actual DVD there. Very convenient.

It’s a documentary filmed in North Korea. The director had a tremendous amount of freedom and claims the documentary was not censored or edited by the government of North Korea.

It follows the lives of a few girls training for the Mass Games in Korea. You get to see quite a bit of their lives and listen to the families. Clearly, they were pre-picked by the government and they do not betray North Korea at all, but it is still fascinating. You can even see the speakers installed in their homes spewing government propaganda.
