Short video, very amusing:
Yes, it’s Spaceballs 2.
Evidently Pullman will be back, and they’ve convinced Moranis to take a break from retirement.

Will there be Yogurt?
“We asked, ‘what do the fans want?’ But instead we’re making this movie.”
Hope I look that good when I’m 2000!
I retract my initial comments about casting. I got excited based on an uncited rumor.
Here are official details.
Note that Brooks is producing (and reprising Yogurt) but not directing. Man’s 99, after all.
Yogurt is in better shape than Barf.
Let’s see if he can get Harrison Ford or William Shatner to do a walk-on.
I haven’t been this excited for a movie in a long, long time.
I’m not that optimistic. A couple of years ago, he produced a limited series continuation of History of the World, Part I that aired on Hulu and it was, I thought, kind of disappointing. I don’t think I ever finished watching it.
That makes two of us…
I thought that was Reiner.
Just plain yogurt
They’d better get his scenes in the can* very first thing.
*Old film technology jargon. Nothing to do with bathrooms.
Deadline has your back.
Not until they finish the Dick Van Dyke cameo.
(as King Roland II, natch)
Hope I look that good when I’m 2000!
I presume these are references to “The 2000 Year Old Man”, which was Carl Reiner interviewing Mel Brooks who was 2000 years old. Absolutely hilarious series of sketches.
I thought that was Reiner.
I hope it’s as good as Top Gun: Maverick was! (36 year gap … 1986 - 2022)
I might be in the minority here but I found Spaceballs to be painfully unfunny. Saw it when it came out when I was 17 when Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles were what I considered comedy classics at the time. I thought it was awful.
Spaceballs is more purely a spoof, and it’s all about the gags: if the gags don’t work for you, the movie won’t work for you.
For many years, I was part of leadership for a yearly scout meeting for training new boy troop leaders. The agenda always included the yearly watching of Space Balls. After a few years of that, I, along with other leaders, figured out it was a good time for a walk. But I’ll certainly watch SB2.
