A Very UHF MMP

Back from WalMartin’ - I got everything on my list plus a few more goodies. I scored some used meat, and it’s in the freezer for future use. I’ve sprayed the oven cleaner in the oven. It has to sit 2 hours, so can’t do anything till then, alas…

The sun is out, the sky is blue, and my clothes are now starting to dry - yay!

It’s a good morning.

I ventured out last night to buy Mrs. Plant(v.3.0) some Nyquil. ™ A woman is outside the grocery store in the cold ringing the Salvation Army bell. I made a mental note to give her my change. I want to be a Nice Guy, but I want to quickly get Mrs. Plant’s (v.3.0) medicine.

You have to show ID to buy Nyquil. ™
No one comes over to the self check out. He is jabbering away with the Salvation Army woman. At least she had the sense to bring her bucket inside with her.
Screw the Salvation Army. I put the two bucks in the ashtray. I’ll give it to the next homeless guy I see on the street corner, trying to get enough money to buy some whiskey.

Happy Hump Day!

The sun is trying to come out, and it will get up to 47 degrees today.
Anything above freezing makes me happy.

This here new fangled contraption ain’t too shabby! Y’all will be proud to know da bear is gettin’ the hang of it pretty quickly. Go Me!

Nettie yay for two finals down. Good luck on the next two! Get some rest.

Speakin’ of :eek:Wally*World:eek: the bomb threatened local one is now back in full swing. Nuttin’ was found accordin’ to the news.

Ok, back to irk.

I killded the MMP! I blame it on this new fangled contraption. Mayhaps it is full of teh evil. Or everybody’s just quiet. I’m good either way.

Of course it’s full of Teh Evil. Apples always attract serpents.

I made an olive, spinach, and feta omelet with rosemary pepper bacon for brunch. So far 4 yowl fests between the cats. I might stick 'em in a Get Along Shirt till they learn to be civil. Or at least be quiet at 0245.

Good luck on the finals, Nettie!

Ah, my dad could go on for half an hour about how Torrance stole the Lomita Airfield. Something about bringing in a bunch of trailers and filling them with people who would vote for annexation. I suspect the story is too old for Snopes to look into.

Phase one of oven cleanage is complete, phase two is underway. I wiped up the first application of the alleged “fume free” spray <chokegaspgag> then resprayed the areas that didn’t get clean. I’ll wipe that mess up in another couple of hours.

I also cleaned and refilled the pellet stove, and refilled the critters’ water bottle/dish. The sun is out, there’s a bit of a breeze, and I assume my laundry is drying nicely. Seems like a good time to find something on Netflix and crochet.

WAAAAAAYYY before our time. Our family moved there in 1964, after having knocked around from Long Beach to Santa Paula on behalf of General Telephone for the previous ten years. He’s still living in that house.

Currently sitting in the orthopedist’s examining room for a followup check on kaylasmom’s busted shoulder. I dropped Kayla and her BFF at the high school with a dozen donuts for the chamber choir earlier. When we get out of here, I’ll be heading to Costco with several month.s wort of aluminum cans, for to collect the bounty on them. Planning on going out for sushi tonight, ssince Kayla doesn’t feel she can afford or trust it in Manhattan.

Moom, I’ve always been partial to granny square afghans for yarn leftovers the same weight. Or pretty black and multi-colored scarves.

Good luck on your exam, nettie!

This morning was one of THOSE mornings. I had a blonde moment last night and forgot to set the alarm. I got up 15 minutes late and just as I got ready to walk out the door, I felt a tell tale give near the back pocket of my jeans. Had to go back and change. Got five miles from home and discovered that I didn’t have my purse (with gas money and my ID badge) with me and had to turn around. I arrived half an hour late. :frowning:

On the up side, the project from hell is done, we’re finishing up the boss’ ugly sweater for the contest and I’m bowling tonight.

Stuff at its “sell by” date?

Or at least those teeny ones the rest of us call worms.

Consider cleaning a delicatessen industrial dish washer.

So it is similar to the Bubble Dancer Tea.

All that rain we’ve been getting is causing problems. Ground that hasn’t seen significant wetness in years is forgetting how to be terra firma, so there’s been a handful of mudslides, rock slides, and fallen trees across the region.

Off to work.

Howdy from da cave! I stopped at the sto’ to pick up a rotissed chikin and somehow between the deli and checkout it became fried chikin. Ok, they had some just fried chikin and I couldn’t resist. As I post a broccoli/rice side is simmerin’ and I shall nukulate some succotash, and bake some rolls. Tasty and easy just like how I like my men!

doggio hope irk goes well this evenin’!

Rearranged furniture
don’t like the way it looks so I have to move some of it back.

This house has a weird smell that comes and goes. I can’t figure out what it is and where it is coming from.

Time to lower the shades and turn on the lights. It gets dark way too early.

Pretty much, yeah. I figure if it passes the sniff test, it’s good.

We’re going out for supper. I just didn’t feel like cooking. I cleaned the oven twice - it’s mostly clean now. Laundry is in and put away. **FCD **is watching Adam-12 - what a hokey series that was! You can see Jack Webb’s fingerprints all over it!

Anyway, I’ll feed Higgs at 5, then we’ll go eat. Yay!

Dindin has been ingested. Not too shabby if’n I do say so myself. The Harvey’s sto’ makes good fried chikin. Anywho, OYKW has paperirk to deal with so he et, and went back to his place. I am sans adult supervision.

Well, swampy, GMTA yet again. Tonight was fried chicken night at Kevin’s. And their bleu cheese dressing is yummerrific!!! Now we’re home digesting. Time to recline.

MWAH!

Evenin’ all!

Wound up doing a mad dash round all the pet shops this morning, trying to find one with heat mats in stock, for the frawgs. The reptile place I expected to grab one from didn’t have any, and I really didn’t want to leave it last minute, and have to brave the last-sattiday-before- D-day shoppers to try find one. Found some eventually, on sale as well.

I still have no idea how long this postie gig is supposed to last- I’m not irking there on
Firday, I’s doin’ the footy instead, and I assume it’ll be carrying on next week, plus there’s been odd mentions of it lasting into the new year, but no-one seems to know. I suspect I may find out when I show up one day and my name isn’t on the sign in list.

Nuts frawgs need heat pads? Are they pampered frawgs? Are they fed gourmet flies?

I just lurve to be in my jammy bottoms, tshirt, thick socks, and robe. I’m so comfy!
