The TL;DR version is that I implied that right-wing terrorists were responsible for bombing Target, because the initial police report said that a bomb had gone off in a Target restroom and police were looking into a connection to the right-wing moron campaign over trans rights.
Later, as I myself updated the thread, it turned out that it wasn’t connected and wasn’t even a bomb, but a meth lab in a convenient travel-sized bottle, for when you can’t decide to make drugs or go shopping. I apologized for spreading false info, even though the initial report was as I described it.
Right-wing morons are pissy about it because … well, really. I mean, they’re right-wing morons. That’s why they think waving this one case from that time ten years ago means that they can pretend that right-wing terrorism doesn’t exist, that the right-wing moronic campaign against Target is no big deal, that harassing women and telling children that they’re going to hell for shopping at Target is appropriate behavior, that arson and shootings and murder at Planned Parenthood is nothing to do with them, and so on.

I’m assuming the OP’s intent was to highlight the importance of not rushing to judgement and making accusations of motive in the aftermath of a serious crime. This is a currently relevant issue because Donald Trump is accusing President Obama of not blaming Muslims quickly enough for the Orlando attack. Stringbean is no doubt appalled by this behavior and is calling for Donald Trump to admit his error and apologize to the President.
