The thing is, nobody should NEED to be told not to play mailbox baseball or not to park on anyone’s lawn. That’s just basic courtesy, and anyone who is old enough to have a driver’s license should be mature enough to respect other people’s property. Frankly, I think that anyone who gets a punctured tire or oilpan from not respecting other people’s property has only themselves to blame.
There was somebody in a little Kansas town near mine that was making sport of tearing across the fronts of lawns, plowing over the shrubs and hedges that commonly lined the front of the yards. One home owner buried a large caltrop (like the WW-II tank catchers) made of crossed 4x4’s in his front corner shrub.
Two days later he caught a large pick-up truck… the front wheels off the ground with a 4x4 jammed through the suspension.
Heh. Do you know how old the driver was? And if the driver owned the truck?
Did he have it stuffed and mounted on a pike outside his house, as a warning to others?
