MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Law enforcement officers were patrolling Middle Tennessee State University and classes were canceled after officials said they received e-mails threatening students.

Authorities decided to cancel classes at the Murfreesboro campus at noon on Thursday. Concerns were also heightened because of three fires set recently on campus

An e-mail threatening “large-scale devastation and destruction” at Middle Tennessee State University led to officials canceling classes today and tomorrow, university officials said at a press conference late this afternoon.

They may or may not have the culprit.

Police have patrolled the Murfreesboro campus as investigators tried to trace the source of the e-mails, which were transmitted beginning Wednesday night. Computers have been confiscated from the campus for analysis by the TBI.

Though seriously, hopefully they did catch the perp, my alma mater just recieved a bomb threat a few weeks ago (nothing happened but still, gotta love still being a part of the Campus wide email list servers, even as a graduate)
