Is the car insurance you can get through the AARP any good?

I believe AARP goes thru The Hartford for insurance. I got an on-line quote for my auto insurance and it was comparable to what I pay at GEICO, which is lower than I got from State Farm and AllState. I didn’t bother to check the home/auto bundle, so I can’t speak to that - sorry.

I’ve never found AARP insurance to be the best deal out their. They’ve never been able to beat my Geico car insurance or my Farmer’s condo insurance.

I’ve heard complaints about the service from those outfits.
I’ve actually had excellent service from GEICO on several claims that I had. I had several not-at-fault accidents. I took it to the GEICO affiliated body shop. They had a rental car waiting for me, the work was done very well and in a timely manner.
I’ve never had a claim with Farmer’s, so I can’t rate their service. Although they’ve done an excellent job of collecting my payments.
