Aarrggh. Hurricane headed our way

NM Answered my own question.

I’m sure he’d rather dodge pumpkin pie as opposed to hurricane debris. Or ill wishes and hopes that he dies.

Glad you’ll be around for a while to take more abuse from us, fellow Doper-in-arms. Give SWMBO a hug for us.

But on the bright side he and his followers aren’t too busy to keep running a disinformation about how the church was flooded (when it wasn’t), how the area was under a mandatory evacuation order (when it wasn’t) and how other Christians are bad for daring to call out Osteen for failing to open the church.

Have you had a chance to survey your storefront? Fingers crossed your window made it through.

Just reading about the rafts of fire antsfloating through Houston. Good God. I’d almost prefer the alligators.

Not until we know it’s over and he’s safe. Then we can go back to our regularly scheduled fighting. In the meanwhile, real world shit takes precedence.

Other Christians are RIGHT to call him out on it. If they, and the Jews, and the Muslims can open their doors, he damn sure can.

His wife works at Goldman and he has a blank check to come back to his old law firm (and probably any one of half a dozen high powered law firms) as a partner anytime he wants.

In that case, Imma eat the pie. Because pie is awesome.

Make it pecan pie.

Now Chris Christie is joining the lynch mob against Cruz too. As governor of New Jersey during that hurricane (Sandy), I’m sure he has a very sharp memory of what went down.

I have to say I liked how he acted then - He said (paraphrasing) “screw politics and screw party lines my people need help”.

All things considered, I would sooner side with Christie than Cruz. Us East Coast boys stick together, and his story rings truer to me personally.

Almost forgot… Yes, pie rules.

Really? With those hard pecan pieces making all those contusions? At least pumpkin custard is smooth.

Make mine blueberry or apple.

Are you able to explain why a well substantiated factual analysis in the Washington Post constitutes “doesn’t know what the hell they are talking about”, and that your rebuttal to it is the Murdoch tabloid the New York Post, about which this has been written:
The Post has been criticized since the beginning of Murdoch’s ownership for sensationalism, blatant advocacy, and conservative bias. In 1980, the Columbia Journalism Review stated “New York Post is no longer merely a journalistic problem. It is a social problem – a force for evil.”

… According to a survey conducted by Pace University in 2004, the Post was rated the least-credible major news outlet in New York …

Do you honestly think there is any credible comparison here?

You can have the pecan pie. I do not like it, Sam-I-Am.

How’s the house and business holding up? Any flood damage?

MMmmm… pecan pie.

Seriously, glad the homestead and family came through well. Here’s hoping for the place of business.

Say what you will of Jersey Fats, yeah, Lyin’ Ted is just so slimy the floods will leave a coat of him all over Houston.

So I suppose Cruz will be fine with the Harvey relief bill including strict limitations and oversights so whatever’s done stops right at the high water line and rebuilding to statu quo as of mid-August and no further.

I’ll take it.

Hey guys, I survived the flood too, not that anyone cares.

In fact I was planning to regale y’all with dramatic, riveting stories of water rescues amid the fire ant rafts, alligators and exploding chemical plants, except…I haven’t got any. Never even lost power for a minute.

Oh, wait. Yesterday I locked myself out of the house and it took the locksmith THREE HOURS to get there due to so many of the roads being blocked. But he finally made it and everything is fine. Other than that, I got nothing.

Sounds like you were preparing for a Worst-Case Scenario
