Could you just do me this one tiny favor and share one view of yours (not related to you, your Aspergers or your depression) for those of us who haven’t read any thread of yours that has been of a different subject?
-
I have talked about discrimination against men in USA in other threads. This is one of the opinions for which American society rejects me.
-
This thread is about my coping with life – it is not about politics in general. I complain a lot. The society accepts it much less then smoking and drinking and drugs. Two of my friends had committed suicide because they used LSD.
“Discrimination against men” isn’t an opinion, it’s just an issue. What is your opinion on this issue?
I am going to say this real quick but not get involved beyond that. I have talked to CCitizen before. He has gotten into trouble on other forums for getting too wrapped up in his own opinion when sharing on other forums.
I think the topics are:
1- MRA type stuff
2- Libertarian politics
3- Politics & history of the USSR/Russia, past and present
4- history in general he can talk about easier and not get as political
CCcitizen… so why not pick one of the first 3 topics. Start a thread, and post a link to it here… or… start a thread of a more neutral topic about history in general… like the Crimean War or The Peloponesian War or the Spanish Civil War that preceded WWII. what is the most dangerous weapon ever invented or how was writing invented… anything that interests you. If you make such a thread, of any type, I will join you.
Given that, by your own admission, you almost never leave your parents’ house, how can “American society” reject you? You never socialize with anyone. Also, it’s entirely possible to have social interactions without engaging in debates about subjects like “discrimination against men in [the] US.”
Another topic:
Everyday life of an unpopular person.
Everyday life of an Aspie.
Least harmful way to deal with problems.
I like to talk about my life. I am a person.
Some people only talk about abstract ideas. I also talk about my life and experiences.
I travel to many forums with the speed of light. On one of the Russian forums I have a saying – good morning for you, dark night for me.
Online forums are my life.
Yes… but
people are trying to say, most of them politely, that they rather hear about other topics than your problems… that is, if you are going to keep saying you can’t take advice…
No one is mad at you. Well, some people are just rude and impatient in general, but there are several people here trying to help you, CCitizen. None of that group is mad at you. We are just telling you, please pick a “normal” topic to talk about.
Possibly some people have similar problems.
Ok, but, are you going to take - any - advice at all? Start a thread about another topic, as requested. If you do not start another thread, that is OK, I’m not mad, I promise, we (you & I) will talk otherwise as we have talked before… but… if you can’t/won’t start a new thread about a neutral topic… I will not post on this thread anymore. I’m just trying to help. Whatever you want to do is ok, it’s your choice.
But why not give it a try?
Is anyone else having a flashback to the goth kids from South Park?
Are you the main character in A Confederacy of Dunces?
Or are you a thinly-disguised Gary Shteyngart?
Hey there CC! I ran into this article online today, and it made me think of you:
Thanks – but I am not looking for any major changes – just minor ones.
