Abortion, a different perspective just perceived

I did your answer your question. Just because a woman has a sex drive, has sex, and gets pregnant, doesn’t mean that anyone should control her body other than that woman herself. So, NO, it doesn’t change anything.

I would agree with this. My own believe is this is done on purpose by God to break man’s rules and power. We simply can not follow rules regarding sexuality because the drive is too strong and it will cause a greater mixing of what would surely be a highly structured society by class, helping break down those walls the ruling class wants to set up.

So if abortion does not exist in the woman’s society then it’s fine if a woman gets pregnant and will deliver the child even though it’s against her wishes for that to happen. There is no enslavement in that, but only if abortion does exist and she is being denied that option is how I take your statement.

Clarification, please. Is this an opinion you agree with, or not?

It was a position I sort of agreed with at one time. This part of it I still do: “the happiest a woman ({or any person for that matter} can be is fulfilling her role that God made her for”, but us defining what that role is I don’t agree with, and doing so is interfering with her relationship with God.

That’s consistent with the New Testament. Neither gender is required to participate in parenthood to have a relationship with God.

Well I’d say that Mary would take issue with that and for that matter Joseph. But this goes back to my point, a person can be required to participate in parenthood , but that is between God and them on an individual level. The relationship one has with God is personal and unique to them.
