If a wife has an abortion without the husband’s knowledge and/or consent, does he have grounds to divorce her?
I thought this was a GQ question, but with the two issues involved, I figured GD was the better forum.
I’m no lawyer, but wouldn’t this be covered under the catch-all ‘irreconcilable differences’?
IANAL …but different states have different laws. Some have “no fault” divorce laws, where a “reason”/“grounds” isn’t required.
I’m not aware of any state that hasn’t adopted no-fault divorce rules, so you don’t need grounds for divorce at all.
Well, that put an end to the debate before it started, didn’t it? 
A guy I used to work with divorced his wife for that very reason, although I am not sure if that is the reason he used in court.
