There was the anesthesiologist in Nip/Tuck who aborted her fetus after it was diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome.
I’m sure there is, but Cat Whisperer gets really upset whenever a TV character she’s claimed for the Childfree By Choice movement ends up having a kid.
It irritates me because a) these aren’t real people, so they aren’t part of any movement b) real-life pregnant actresses are usually at the root of formerly childfree characters having babies and c) TV producers think babies = ratings + new plots, so of course they’re going to trot out the babies after a while.
If you haven’t even seen the sixth season yet, you spoke too soon.
I believe Dynasty’s Fallon Carrington had one.

Family Guy did an episode where Lois agreed to be a surrogate for another couple…and then when the couple both died in a car accident, she got it aborted.
Really??? I thought I’d seen every episode. When did this one first air?

Fox wouldn’t air it, but the cast did a live table read for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2009 and the episode was released on DVD in 2010.

I wonder if it was ever even intended to be broadcast and not simply a publicity stunt to raise DVD sales.

Well, good thing I already acknowledged that then. But kinda irrelevant to the actually discussion here don’t you think?
I’ve always thought that one of the Star Trek NG episodes included abortions. I’m not enough of a Trek geek to be able to name the episode. It was the one with the Irish colonists and the Cloning colonists. The Cloners stole some genetic material from several crew members and started incubating copies. The crew discovered the theft and beamed down to kill the developing clones. I don’t remember if they were killed separately, or if shutting down the machinery killed them. But the scene made if very clear that the clones being killed were somewhat alive.
Most of the folks I’ve mentioned it to hadn’t thought of the event as an abortion because the clone was adult sized. But I believe that those were abortions even if it didn’t twang anybody’s protect baby neurons. Were there discussions in the fan forums about it?

That was Up the Long Ladder. Riker and Pulaski where the ones who had their DNA stolen and IIRC after they beemed into the lab he fired a phaser at the developing clones.

Wow, of the entire Enterprise crew, that’s who they picked?
