About phone cards

I have some prepaid phone cards left over from when my kids were working as caddies. They didn’t have cell phones, so I made sure they could call me when they needed a ride home. They’re several years old, but they say they don’t expire. Do these things even work any more? And if they’re still good, is there a way we could donate them to soldiers or something like that? They’re AT&T, one open one that was originally 30 minutes, and three still wrapped that are 100 minutes each. Does anybody here know?

A quick search shows the VFW is doing something along these lines. Perhaps contact them, the local USO, an AAFES, etc.
