I think he’s supposed to have some kind of rural Maine accent. If you’re familiar with the accent, how well does he pull it off. In my opinion, it’s worse than some of the Southern accents I’ve heard attempted.
Poorly. I haven’t seen M,SW in quite a while, but as I recall it was pretty bad. Not quite as bad as Fred Gwynn in Pet Sematary, but close.
The guy on Down East Dickering is OK, but there’s something off about his accent. It seems like he’s been told to exaggerate the accent.
