ACM's 20 Questions

I’m confused as to how it could make a sound but can’t be measured. The whole thing is contradictory.

ETA: Although the OP might be thinking of “measured” in the physical sense, but surely noise can be measured.

:sigh:

I think my answers are correct, but you can yell at me if you disagree when the reveal comes.

I guess if you could somehow measure the volume of the sound it makes, but I really don’t think that is what the question was asking.

I think answering yes to it being measured would be misleading, though.

Is it electro-magnetic?

Uh, I’m saying “No”, but I won’t count it because I don’t understand electromagnetism enough to give a authoritative answer.

I’ve changed the “measured” question to iffy since I guess aspects of it can be measured. I just didn’t think of it being measured when I answered.

1. It’s not alive.
2. It’s man-made.
3. It can not be accurately compared to a microwave in terms of size.
4. It can not be used to warm food.

5. You would find it indoors.
6. It’s not a physical object.
7. It is not a work of art.
8. It does not exist in a gaseous state.

9. It makes a sound(iffy)
10. It can not be measured(iffy)
11. It is not an abstract concept.
12. It is not a liquid.
13. It is worth a lot of money

**14. It’s not hot.
15. It’s not supernatural. **
16. It would(could) provide pleasure.
**17. It is not more likely to be made by a man than a woman.
**Bonus - I don’t think it’s electromagnetic, but if you tell me everything on Earth is, then it must be.

I was just getting at whether it fell into the category of electricity, radio waves, light, etc.

I’m not yelling, just confused. I also don’t get how it can be both man-made and not a physical object. As a result I’m stuck on another question to ask.

I’d say “music” (only makes a sound when played), except that is a work of art. Still puzzled.

That was what I was thinking of when I asked the “work of art” question.

Ditto. I was going to say a song, but that would be a work of art.

Trying to think of things that are man-made but not physical objects.

War (the indoor variety, such as the war of 1812).
A speech (not typically worth a lot of money).
A story (art).
A ghost (supernatural).

I think I should give up.

I would prefer to take the final questions, but I’m starting to get worried people are going to be mad at me. I’ll just end it if everyone wants to quit.

I can tell you this. I did not choose something massively obscure. The thing I picked is common and well known.

I will say I’m sorry if you think my answers are in any way wrong, but I think I answered correctly.

I know you aren’t yelling. I juts didn’t like Leaffan’s tone toward me. I wasn’t trying to take the fun out of it. I thought my choice was more obvious than “dentures”, actually.

Don’t worry, it’s only game Mahaloth. I vote to end it now, as I can’t even think of a useful question at this point.

Hey man. Sorry for the tone. I’m just as confused as others. I’ll probably slap myself once it’s revealed.

How about this. I’ll ask the next question?

So, it isn’t a physical object. Hmmm…

Does it involve the internet somehow?

Yes.

OK.

Three guesses!
