Acoustic version better than regular version

Exactly what I thought…wonderful

Foo Fighters - *Times Like These * is also a gem.

Just heard a rare acoustic version of Pearl Jam’s Corduroy… not sure if it is better than the original, but it is a great version.

While I’m inexplicably drawn to Everlong’s drums for some reason, I agree with the others here that it’s more incredible acoustically. It’s also the perfect song to calm me down for sleep at night.

I love Assemblage 23, and the original version of Ground from the album Storm is awesome… but when I heard the acoustic version on the b-side, I almost cried. It was very lovely.

I don’t know if it was better, but it was certainly raw and sweet and amazing. I developed a real soft spot for Tom Shear for doing that one.

Sting did an acoustic version of “Message in a Bottle” when he went solo. I think you can see or hear him playing/singing during the Bring on the Night documentary. I love the original, but I think the acoustic version crushes it like a grape.

Nirvana unplugged is a great album. I like Nirvana’s acoustic version of The Man Who Sold The World better than Bowie’s original, and I am a Bowie fan.

Definitely agreed on Nirvana’s “Man who sold the world”. Absolutely beautiful version of that track.

I also prefer The Postal Service’s version of “Some Great Heights”, but Ben does a decent enough acoustic version at his shows as well. Closer to the I & W version than the album version in feel.

How about “acoustic but heavily produced” to “very simple acoustic”?

Sting’s “Fields of Gold” is one of the most beautiful pop songs ever.

His Songs from the Labyrinth lute version is heartbreaking. (Sadly, it’s also available to purchase only as an iTunes download.)
