Gaaa.
I just installed a motion sensor light. There are no instructions on how to activate the motion sensor (long story).
And I can’t find a web site for the manufacturer.
They are activated by turning it on and off and then on again. But timing is important.
Something like 2 seconds on 30 seconds off and on and off real quick.
How does yours work?
I can’t help you with your specific question, but I can tell you that I have had a lot of problems with motion sensitive lights. A surprisingly high percent haven’t worked at all and those that do are pretty darn erratic.

I found some advice here that may help:
Most motion sensors have a circuit built in to them, so that if you flip the wall switch on / off / on (starting in an off position) quickly they will then stay on like a normal light (turn off, wait 5 seconds and turn back on to reset the sensor).
Thanks QED and bnorton,
It is working. I stumbled onto the ‘code’ by accident. I doubt that I will be able to repeat it easily, but at least the thing works in test mode.
Gonna have to wait till dark to see if is really working properly.

I don’t know if “test mode” is an industry standard for these but I recently installed one that has a test mode. If it turns out to be the same maker (or even if not) I could email you a scan of the instructions if I can dig them up.
So to repeat Q.E.D. 's question, who is the manufacturer?
You can drop me an email at jeff.seigle@cox.spamblock.net (drop the “spamblock.”)

Most of the sensors I have worked with are set up by merely turning them on and then waiting until they turn off by themselves.
This delay permits the device to set up it’s area of coverage and distance.
From that point on they should react to motion[actually heat changes and not really motion]after daylight diminishes into night.
The double -click stay -on feature is a manual overide and common to such devices.
After being in overide you return to automatic merely by turning them off.
