Oops. Racquel. > Insert “bonehead” smilie here <
Carrie Snodgrass was only good in Diary of a Mad Housewife
Linda Manz was breathtakingly good in Days of Heaven, but did nothing of note afterwards.
Conchata Ferrell was great in Heartland, but it has rarely had a chance to shine otherwise.
Jerry Lewis in The King of Comedy (though The Nutty Professor comes close)
I actually liked him in The Bride.
I came in here specifically to nominate Kevin Costner for Field of Dreams, and now I’m reminded of Bull Durham. :smack:
[sub]haven’t seen Silverardo[/sub]
You need to take care of that. One of the finest Westerns of our time.
Damn, you beat me to it!!
Oddly enough, I liked DiCaprio in “The Quick and The Dead.”
Quirky little western.
Lori Petty in A League Of Their Own.
Reminded by Chastain86, Russell Crowe in “The Quick and the Dead.”
Every time I see Russell Crowe in anything else, I think gee, he wa so good in the Quick and the Dead…
I was joking. Kevin Costner plays a dead body in The Big Chill. I don’t think you even see his face.
I’m also going to speak up for Tony Curtis. He’s a bit annoying in The Great Race, but I think that’s because his character is meant to be annoying. Certainly I enjoyed him in Operation Petticoat.
I’m another one who thinks that Keanu Reeves peaked with Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. The next one never happened. Really.
Will Smith in Six Degrees of Separation. One of the all-time great performances, and then…blech. Although looking at his credits, I realize that I never saw Ali, for which he got a lot of recognition.
There’s been one - one - good performance by Vin Diesel, and it’s in Boiler Room.
I think Ben Affleck’s one good performance was also in Boiler Room.
Have you not seen Romper Stomper? That’s definately my nomination for “only decent performance of Russell Crowe’s career”.
I think you misspelt “The Iron Giant”.
Both Michael Douglas and Toby McGuire were fantastic in “Wonder Boys.” Each has been entirely useless in everything else.
Adam Sandler was good in Punch-Drunk Love and that’s it.
