Jessica Fletcher is well-known for the fact that her friends and relatives are accused of murder at a startling rate, but Adam Schiff (of Law and Order) seems just as bad - or worse: friends and political allies of him seem to be actually guilty of murder and other felonies (or to have undiagnosed mental illnesses that affect the progress of murder trials) at an equally startling rate (I happen to be watching “The Working Stiff” right now, in which Adam’s old political ally is involved in a bank fraud (and possibly a murder - and I know there are plenty of more cases). No wonder he’s so dyspeptic…

He’s the DA, so he knows “everybody.” We just don’t see his many friends and allies who don’t get in legal trouble. 
True. Also he’s been involved in local politics since the 60s, so he’s got a lot of friends and allies in the NYC area (that’s why Arthur Branch, who moved to NYC much more recently, and Nora Lewin who was an academic, don’t have so many old friends who have legal troubles).
