Given that the new Tesla trucks have a stainless steel finish, I wonder if you could melt the snow and ice off of one with that? If so, it would make for a killer commercial.
I wonder what ‘finish’ means here. Is it solid stainless, or just some thin layer over something else less able to withstand the heat of a torch?
AIUI they just bent the sheets of stainless and riveted them on to form the auto body. But I’m not particularly knowledgeable on the subject.
I haven’t been paying attention to this truck, but it has a real DeLorean look to it. Like some general contractors would take back to the future.
